What Stargate UAE actually is
Announced in May 2025, Stargate UAE is a large AI data centre cluster in Abu Dhabi. G42 is building it, OpenAI and Oracle will operate it, and NVIDIA is supplying Grace Blackwell GB300 systems, with Cisco and SoftBank also involved. The first 200 megawatts were reported to be due in 2026, out of a planned 1 gigawatt. For businesses, the significance is regional capacity: more AI computing power located in the UAE, which over time supports faster services and more options for keeping data in the country.
